About Destin Legieza
Destin, a Williamson County native, began his law enforcement career with the Athens (Georgia) Police Department, and later returned home to Williamson County as a Brentwood Police Officer. Destin not only gave back to his community professionally as a police officer, but also volunteered his time serving others in his personal life.

On June 18, 2020, Destin was killed when a vehicle crashed, head on, into his vehicle on Franklin Road, just north of Concord Road in Brentwood. At the time of his death, Destin was near the end of his shift as a Brentwood Police Officer and driving to park his patrol car so he could go home. Unfortunately, he never made it. Because of this tragic event, the Destin Legieza Foundation was formed, in his honor, to provide community service that Destin can no longer provide.

Anyone who knew Destin, loved him. Those fortunate enough to meet Destin, remember his smile and kindness. The 282, Destin’s Brentwood Police Department radio call number and badge number, is well known among those in law enforcement, and now the Brentwood community.
We hope you will enjoy our website and continue to honor Destin’s legacy by doing something he loved, but can no longer do, supporting others.

We miss you, Destin.
